The Glass House is a combination of modern and natural architecture on the Mekong River, a place that can be called as "The Mekong Sanctuary."
The core concept of this home is to create a seamless connection between nature and family life. The residence is surrounded by clear glass that extends from the ground to the ceiling, providing a panoramic view of the river and lush greenery surrounding 80% of the total land area, including fruit trees, native plants and gardens, forming the land into a private tropical paradise.
The architect's challenge is to create a harmonious connection between the existing building and the new glass house. This condition can be achieved by creating a new volume; a joint external green space in the middle for complementing and connecting the two structures. The concept of this new extra space design focuses heavily on existing enviromnents by taking advantage of the Mekong River's landscapes, and the greenery, providing a modern and natural living experience that is suitable for users.
